Back in 2017, National Geographic did a feature on India’s train surfing. They showed how many youngsters board the local trains and do various stunts. They swing from the doors and hang out of the trains. Some of them get on the top of the train to boost their masochism. And although the documentary was done to spread awareness among the authorities, the mindless trend is showing no signs of stopping.
According to India Times, a couple of hoodlums were train surfing on a Mumbai local and when it approached a station, one of them stole the phone of an innocent bystander.
You can see a freeze frame and wonder how many things are wrong with it. Firstly, these numb-heads are creating a giant ruckus in what can otherwise be a peaceful ride. Secondly, they’re dangling out of the train with no care about the consequences.
And if all this hooliganism doesn’t set a dangerous precedent for the kids who’re watching this, they go one step further. When the train slows down near a station, one of the guys snatches a phone from a person who was possibly on his way to work.

According to the Indian Express, after the video went viral, the police and RPF began searching for these four delinquents and they were caught.
There are so many ways to live one’s lives but this is how they choose to do it. But the problem is that if an accident happens, the authorities will be to blame. However, thankfully, they survived and idiotically posted their faces all over the internet. And while I’d urge others to not do the same, I’d request them to record and post it so that the police can take swift action like they did for these four “stuntmen”.The four people have been detained. Inquiry is underway.
