Famous former Indian cricketer, Virendra Sehwag who always make people laugh over his jokes on the social media gets emotional now. Actually, he shares a video on the social media platform Twitter, where one can see the people of Haiti are suffering from worst phase poverty where they have to eat the Rotis or Chappattis made of mud or dirt. Watch the video here:

Why are people so helpless in Haiti (an African country)?

In 2010, Haiti was struck by what has been called the strongest earthquake since 1770. The 7.0 mW quake with aftershocks ranging from 4.2 to 5.9 affected at least three million people and increased poverty in Haiti.

Haiti is the poorest country in the world with a poverty rate of 77 percent, closely followed by Guinea with a 76.7 percent poverty rate. The World Bank estimates that the earthquake caused about $8 million in damage or 120 percent of the GDP.

According to a National Geographic report, here two cup rice cost Rs 40 nearly. Means 1 kg rice is equaled to Rs 170. A 1 packet bread costs Rs 100. Therefore, the poverty-ridden people here make Rotis of mud, to eat, just to take a breath on Earth.
