While plastic wraps seem to be an omnipresent piece of article in our kitchens, and we use them to preserve food products, there are some innovative uses too. Moreso, it is so there, that we tend to lose thought over its use for long periods of time. Also referred to as cling film and even saran wrap, plastic wraps are a great way to help you crack some crazily tricky moments with ease.
With this, we don't intend to increase the use of plastic, but to use it judiciously enough to save the resources available and to perform day to day tasks efficiently.
So, use plastic wrap for much more than merely covering leftovers. Just like charity, creativity begins at home too. Here's how!
A marble effect nail art.
You will need two contrasting colors of nail paints and plastic wrap, for sure. Paint a base coat and let it dry. Now, paint the second color and use plastic wrap in a dabbing motion before it dries. This will result in a marble effect when the wet nail paint leaves a texture.
To keep contents from spilling over while travelling, use plastic wrap before you cap them.
This is an extra layer of protection, and actually works wonders.
Cover the stems of bananas to keep them fresh for long.
