World’s Largest Hotel In Mecca Will Have 70 Restaurants, Helipads And Much More!


There are certain places (I mean which are royal, fancy and very expensive) in this world where you cannot go easily. Abraj Kudai promises to be the world’s largest hotel that boasts up to 10,000 rooms. This under construction hotel is located in the Manafia area of Mecca’s central zone, just 2.2 km south of the Masjid al-Haram (holy mosque). Once completed the hotel will offer an unprecedented level of luxury to travelers and royalty alike in Saudi Arabia.

According to Dar Al Handasah — the international design company in charge of the project, the landmark building has “unparalleled size, height, distinguished location and exposure.”


As per the estimates, the cost of building this hotel is about $ 3.5 billion. Abaraj Kudai has 10,000 rooms and 70 restaurants on its premises along with helipads for VIP guests. The hotel will also feature, a lavish shopping mall and a ballroom.



This hotel has twelve buildings that are of 45 storeys each. Built on a total of 46 million square feet of land, Abaraj Kudai has the world’s largest and tallest dome.



Abraj Kudai has been designed in Moroccan style.

It is estimated that a day’s rent in this hotel will cost you around $ 5750 (around Rs 4.2 lakh in Indian currency).



As per media reports, the the construction of the hotel is facing delays, owing to lower oil prices, and is expected to be completed by 2020.

At the moment, the world’s largest hotel in terms of the number of rooms available to guests, is in Las Vegas. According to hotel industry research firm STR Inc, the MGM Grand has 6,198 bedrooms.
