For His Role In 'Andha Dhun' Ayushmann Spent Three Months Prepping In A Blind School

Being an actor is not a cakewalk. With fame and popularity comes the responsibility of giving your best in ensuring that your reel characters look believable and appealing. When it comes to experimenting, Ayushmann Khurrana is one actor who has taken risks and never hesitated in taking up challenges.

In just six years of his acting career, Ayushmann Khurrana has proved that he is bankable and irreplaceable for reasons more than one. Be it taking up socially relevant issues or taking risks related to his career, he is master of all things out-of-the-box.

With an enviable success rate of films, Ayushmann is one of the most relevant and trustworthy actors and filmmakers are ready to bet their money on him.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays a visually impaired pianist in Sriram Raghavan's forthcoming thriller AndhaDhun, regularly went to a blind school for three months to prepare for his role.

"I wanted to look 100 per cent genuine on screen. It is extremely sensitive to portray someone who is visually impaired and some of the great actors, the world over, have played these characters perfectly with sheer brilliance. I didn't want to let down my director who had faith in me and in my acting skills," Ayushmann said in a statement.

He adds,

"I went to a blind school for three months regularly to observe body language, mannerisms, reactions and nuances. Today, when I'm seeing the love that the audience is pouring for the trailer and my character, I feel glad that I put myself through this drill. It was tough and rigorous and needed all the attention in the world to pick such tricky nuances but acting is as much talent as it is attention to detail."

The film also stars Tabu and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.

This year is an interesting one for Ayushmann as he has a line up of some exciting releases including Andha Dhun and Badhaai Ho.
