When was the last time you heard an Indian politician reading a poem for the masses? Possibly, you can’t come to an answer even after churning your mind for hours for you rarely know a politician having a natural affinity for poetry. Other than Dr Kumar Vishwas, who is known for his poems like ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai’ and ‘Hothon Pe Ganga Ho’, there is only one other politician who is known for his love of poetry. He is none other than our beloved ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee not only served politics with utmost gleaming spirit but also inspired countrymen to love their nation through his poetic greatness.

Sadly, Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away at the age of 93 on August 16, 2018, after being admitted to the hospital for a long time. Atal Ji was undoubtedly one of the best Prime Ministers India has ever had. We miss him immensely and hope that his dreams for the betterment of the country and its people come true!
