9 Dangerous Food Combinations You Must Avoid

You may find yourself compulsively eating common food such as bread-jam or a glass of orange juice with oats, but they are not as good as they taste like. If you are eating in a health-conscious manner, most of the combinations we make every day can pretty much be the problem behind our weak health.

Don't judge a meal by how amazing it tastes; sometimes they can affect your health in worse ways than you can imagine. Here are a few surprising food items, you should never bring close again.

Banana and milk.

Forget your everyday banana shake because it's not as good for your health as you thought. According to the celebrity nutritionist, Dr Daryl Gioffre, “This is a very bad combination that produces toxins in the body. Banana becomes sour by the time it gets to the stomach in time for digestion. It can curdle milk and turn it into a heavy mucus-forming substance. The combination is also bad for weight loss because banana is 25 percent sugar." He adds, "Milk also has sugar. As a result, you get an insulin spike, which is one of the worst things for the body."

Bread with jam or peanut butter.

Shocking, right! “Peanut butter should be avoided like the plaque,” Dr Gioffre says. “Organic or not, it’s a cancer food with 25 different fungi.” They produce a mycotoxin called Aflatoxin, which is a mold that research has shown is a human carcinogen, he adds.

Beans and cheese.

This Mexican favourite is the worst combination one can ever put into the digestive system as it leads to bloating, gas and other stomach problems.

Cereal and orange juice.

Milk in the cereal and orange juice can curdle during digestion and can cause stomach ache and other dietary problems.

Milk and tea.

"Black tea is rich in antioxidants that work to decrease inflammation that's linked to many chronic diseases, including heart disease and diabetes," says Alissa Rumsey, RD, spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. However, splashing even a little milk (cow or soy) into your cup short-circuits those benefits: "Milk proteins bind to antioxidants in tea and prevent them from being absorbed," she explains.

Burger and beer.

"Both are processed by the liver, and your body naturally prioritises breaking down the alcohol first, since it recognises alcohol as a toxin," says Dr Rumsey.

Bacon and eggs.

No matter how delicious this combination sounds, bacon and eggs can increase your risk for high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and heart disease when eaten in combination.

Energy drinks and alcohol.

According to a study, cardiac blood vessels become sluggish and don’t open as well. They are even worse when mixed with alcohol because they have too much caffeine, one of the most dangerous legal drugs. It leads to high blood pressure and racing heart.

Yogurt and berries.

Often consumed in everyday households as morning breakfast, yogurt and berries can be a toxic combination. Sinus congestion and allergy-like symptoms are common side-effects of this serving.
