Sushant Singh Rajput Becomes The First Bollywood Star To Buy Property On Moon

Sushant Singh Rajput, the hunky Indian actor started his acting career with the Indian TV industry. He starred in many TV shows including one that got him highest acclaim, Zee TV’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Post his exit from the show and the TV industry, Sushant entered films with his debut in ‘Kai Po Che‘ in 2013. He was one of the three leads in the movie, all of whom got critical acclaim for their performances.
Sushant then went on to be a part of many Bollywood movies and was recently seen in cricketer MS Dhoni’s biopic movie.

What is interesting to note about Sushant Singh Rajput is that he is also a huge nerd. He even pursued engineering from Delhi Technological University before dropping out in the fourth year to peruse acting.

But his latest move to buy a piece of land on moon shows that his inner nerd is still there. Yes, the actor has bought a piece of land on the moon in the area called the ‘Sea of Muscovy’ or Mare Muscoviense. He made this purchase from the International Lunar Lands Registry. Here is the document to prove the same:

Sushant Singh Rajput has now become the first ever Bollywood star to purchase a piece of the moon. However, Shahrukh Khan has already been gifted a piece of the moon by a fan.

Sushant got the land registered on June 25, 2018. This coincides with the fact that Sushant’s next is an outer space movie titled – ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’.

‘Chanda Mama…’ will be India’s first ever space movie and Sushant Singh Rajput underwent a rigorous training at NASA before shooting for his part. Sushant’s love for outer space is also evident from the fact that he owns the worlds most advanced telescope made for civilians – the Meade 14” LX600.
And now he has bought a piece of land on the moon, this is what the actor reportedly said about his latest acquisition:

“I would like to believe that the different ways we answer questions ‘are’ the answers to those questions. So the variations in the way we punctuate the narratives; the nuance, would create the different versions of reality in future. My mother used to tell me that my life will be the story that I will tell myself. I am just punctuating a nuance right now and already am, over the moon.”

Although, the registry Sushant got, might not really lead to legal ownership of the property. And that’s because an international treaty states that all outer space bodies belong to the whole humankind. Hence a single nation/ entity cannot own any of them.
