The bandh that was announced by the Maratha outfits yesterday, i.e., 25th July was called off midway around 3 pm after angry protesters' violence went haywire during the protests. The Maratha Kranti Morcha wanted to be heard by the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Their demand stated that they needed reservations for the Maratha community in jobs and education.
Since their protests worsened in half a day, Fadnavis chose to hear them out to stop the violence in the city and other areas around.
However, situation worsened more after the bandh was called off.

Kopar Khairne was affected the most where the leaderless protesters stoned vehicles, clashed with local people and also indulged in arson. Not just that a mob also burnt furniture and vehicles at a police chowky even after the bandh was called off.
Due to this, the police had to use force and also indulge in lathi-charge and tear gas shells.
Three policemen along with a superintendent of police were injured.
