A must-watch for reasons more than one.
We've all watched a lot of hard-hitting movies in Bollywood. Some have given out powerful messages while others have made a mark in our heart. The recent release Veere Di Wedding is a class apart movie for reasons more than one.
Needless to say, people are in awe of the girl gang - Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsani and Swara Bhaskar. But apart from being a one of its kind movie, Veere Di Wedding is setting a new benchmark in the Indian film industry.
Females are ruling the world, ain't they?
Again, this film is a female-centric one with four stunning actresses playing the leads. Clearly leaves behind the myth that only an actor can be the hero of the film. This one's got four heroes in the name of Kareena, Sonam, Shikha and Swara. And not to mention, all of who are phenomenal in their respective characters.
Kareena Kapoor Khan - All about breaking stereotypes.
With Veere Di Wedding, this beauty is breaking the stereotype of - actresses can't play lead roles after marriage, and certainly not after a baby. Of course, she's already done away with a lot many stereotypes regarding marriage, the airport looks, having a baby while still having her acting career and so on. In fact, it is her character that the story is mainly based on.
Who said only zero figures do wonders on screen?
Shikha Talsania, the gorgeous actress, has given a tough competition to a lot of women in the film industry. By playing the character of Meera in this film, she has also let out a message of how some extra kilos on a woman do no harm. Even after a lot of debates over how a woman should look perfect at all times, Shikha has managed to hold the tag of a lead in the film quite well.
Boy talks aren't only meant for boys after all!
All the four actresses in this film have spoken about some really strong topics, including cuss words, real problems and even sexuality. Things that we only got to hear from the male actors in our Bollywood films till now. We must say Shashanka Gosh has put a lot of details in this movie with a preference of all the rather boyish talks being talked about by the women leads.
Flawed but flawless!
To conclude this, Veere Di Wedding aptly shows how each actress in the movie is flawed yet ready to learn from their mistakes. This in a way gives out a message of how a hero is always portrayed as a strong character, fighting all odds and making lives better for others. But the girl gang in this movie gives a reality check of how people don't have to be perfect to be a hero.
Who needs more reasons to call it a class-apart movie after all that's mentioned above?
