Race 3 Honest Review Is Out. Even Salman Khan Fans Are Not Happy With This Eid Treat

“Race 3” starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah was indeed one of the most awaited movies of the year. It’s the third installment of the “Race” franchise and the previous two installments have been blockbuster and did superb business on the box-office.
Needless to say, people had high hopes with “Race 3” since it has been made under the banner of Salman Khan’s production and starred Dabangg Khan in the lead role. What’s more, a couple of songs which showcased nice chemistry between Salman and Jacqueline further boosted fans’ excitement. However, the movie badly failed to impress audience and left them disappointed.
Story and Screenplay
From big star cast to the presentation of a lavish lifestyle including expensive mansions, luxurious cars and elaborated action scenes – “Race 3” has it all! The movie was scheduled to release on Eid this year but Bhaijaan’s fans who were very enthusiastic for an Eid treat were highly dejected with the story and screenplay.
It’s the story of Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor) and his children who are not trustworthy. Shamsher makes an attempt of resolving the issue of the increasing conflict among Sikander (Salman Khan), Sanjana (Daisy Shah), Suraj (Saqib Saleem) and Yash (Bobby Deol) who has played the character of their trusted man.

Undeniably, the cast has looked glamorous and glossy with perfectly-toned physique and appear to be just flawless even in the action scenes without a strand of hair going out of place. However in terms of content, it couldn’t impress audience. Several minutes of the flick will leave you itching your head as you won’t be getting where the story is going and what the makers are trying to show.
In the second half, you will be left frustrated since the makers have shown a number of twists in every other scene. Over all, you will come out of theatres with a spoiled mood, thinking why you wasted your hard-earned money on it.
The screenplay written by Shiraz Ahmed is appalling and the dialogues are non-effective. The movie is all about blowing up vehicles in the air rather than a script that is able to grip the viewers tightly hooked with their chairs for a couple of hours.
Performances and Direction
The first two franchises of “Race” have been directed by Abbas & Mustan who are just excellent in their style of suspense thrillers. In the third installment, Remo D’Souza enters the franchise and the rest is history.

Talking about the performances, Bobby Deol was in news for getting a good chance of comeback in a shirtless avatar but he couldn’t make an impression and his poor expressions further spoiled it all. Anil Kapoor is the only actor who has performed superbly and did complete justice with his character. Other than him, all the other actors fail to leave any positive impression and probably if other actors had been approached, they could have played the roles better. Salman just couldn’t replace Saif Ali Khan and the movie lacked the vigor and life that its earlier two installments had.
As far as action scenes are concerned, few of them are shot very badly. Talking about music, it has also not left much impression.
The only good thing about the movie is its climax which is full of twists that are not only amazing but also unexpected. Other than this, there is nothing that even staunch fans can appreciate.
Rating – 2/5
