Cyclone Fani Hits Odisha Hard, People Share Terrifying Videos From Ground Zero

Cyclone Fani hit the Odisha coast this morning with heavy rain and storm that started around 8 am, said the Indian Meteorological Department. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) shared the video on their official Twitter account to show the impact of the cyclone at Puri.
‘The sound and the fury: here's what the landfall at Puri by #CycloneFani actually looked like’, PIB tweeted. The video shows trees swaying wildly in the rain and wind. According to the MeT department, the wind hit the coast at a speed of 150 to 175 km per hour and even higher at some places.

Areas in the town of Puri and other places were submerged in water as the rain hit the coast, according to the officials.
Here are some of the photos and videos of the cyclone:

The Indian Army, Navy and Air Force is on stand-by. Cyclone Fani is the strongest cyclone storm since the Super Cyclone of 1999.
