MS Dhoni Loses His Cool At Khaleel Ahmed In Second ODI Against Australia.

Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known as India’s most successful World Cup captain. MS Dhoni, who captained India in limited overs cricket for nine long years, has led the country to win all three major ICC titles. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 World T20, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. The cricketer has also won 110 ODI matches as a captain, which is the second most by any player. He captained India in 331 matches, which is the most by any player across formats.

MS Dhoni is also popularly known as “captain cool” as he is known to not melt under pressure. His calm temperament has given the Indian team some memorable wins and stunning surprises.

However, in a striking contrast for the temperament he is known for, the captain cool lost his cool on January 15 during the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide.

The extreme heat condition in Adelaide made things difficult for the players, as they frequently asked for drinks during the game on several occasion.

During one such drinks break in the final overs of the game, Khaleel Ahmed, the left-arm seamer, came out to serve drinks to Dinesh Karthik and was seen walking on the pitch. This made Dhoni extremely angry over the youngster and he was seen abusing the youngster for his action. He was also seen telling Khaleel that he could’ve avoided walking on the wicket.
Here’s the video:

After understanding the situation, Yuzvendra Chahal, who had gone to the pitch along with Khaleel, made sure that he threw the helmet towards MS Dhoni from the other side of the pitch.

It was a tense situation during the final overs of the match as walking on the pitch could have alter the nature of the pitch. MS Dhoni along with Dinesh Karthik added 57 runs in a little over five overs to lead India to a victory in second ODI.
