10 Indoor Plants That Filter Air, Release Oxygen And Lower Risk Of Cancer

Recently Central Pollution Control Board announced Gurgaon the most polluted city in India. The quality of air was tested in 62 cities, the air quality index of Gurgaon or Gurugram was 321, which is the worst. Air pollution not only exists in outdoor air but in the indoor air too. According to NASA’s research center, there are some indoor plants that not only purify the air but also lower the risk of cancer by purifying chemicals like Benzene, Ammonia, Formaldehyde, Xylene and Toluene.

According to the scientists, a man needs 50-liter oxygen per hour. A single leaf releases 5-milliliter oxygen per hour.
